Catherine Munro Taylor - Lock Haven Express

In Heaven there are many mansions and Catherine will have a star on her door.She has left a legacy of love and so many memories of her love by always having time for family and friends.She is remembered by her wonderful cooking, sewing, famous peach pies, cross stitching and creating many wall hangings.Catherine loved ice skating shows and J. “Bill” Gaither” who is an American singer and songwriter of southern gospel and Contemporary Christian music.Catherine was born in Lock Haven, July 12, 1928 to the late Bruce and Anna Clymer Munro.She was a graduate of the Lock Haven High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lock Haven.She had been employed by the former Sylvania Plant in Mill Hall, and had worked at Piper Aircraft for 25 years in the engineering building.Catherine was united in marriage, July 4, 1952 to Charles W. Taylor who survives.Also surviving are two sons, Neil W. (Zee) Taylor of Olathe, Kan., and Michael A. (Debra) Taylor of Reading; two sisters, Ilene Fiedler o Swissdale, and Eleanor Reese of Harrisburg, along with five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a son, Dana Lee Taylor who passed October 14, 1989; two sisters, Dorothy Probst and Phyllis McDonough, and a brother, Arthur Munro.Funeral services for Catherine Munro Taylor will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home and Cremation Services LLC. 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa.Officiating will be Deacon Donald Pechart, nephew of Catherine.Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park. Family and Friends will be received in the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Thursday.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lock Haven First Baptist Church, 210 N. Dallas Police Assistant Chief to speak at 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Rockwall - Blue Ribbon News

Dallas Police Department Assistant Chief Gary Tittle will be the guest speaker at a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony hosted by Rest Haven Memorial Park and Rockwall Independent School District.  The community event, marking the 15th Anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, will honor the lives of the first responders killed in the line of duty that day and bring special honor to our local first responders. The ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, Sept. 9 at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Rockwall.  Other event participants include Rockwall County Sheriff Harold Eavenson, Rockwall Police Chief Kirk Riggs, Rockwall Fire Chief Mark Poindexter, Heath DPS Director Terry Garrett, the Rockwall Police Department Honor Guard and the Amy Parks-Heath Starlight Singers.“Remembering the terrorist attacks of September 11th and honoring the sacrifice of first responders, makes it especially meaningful to welcome Assistant Chief Tittle from the Dallas Police Department’s Command Staff,” said Dewayne Cain, President of Rest Haven Funeral Homes and Memorial Park.  “The killing of Dallas police officers in July was, and still is, a sobering reminder that our first responders put their lives on the line every day to protect us and we owe them our deepest gratitude and respect.”Assistant Chief Tittle is a 29-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department and currently oversees the Strategic Deployment Bureau, which includes SWAT, Traffic, Love Field, Gang and the Criminal Intelligence Unit.  Chief Tittle’s past assignments include the Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Units, and the Internal Affairs Division and Public Integrity Unit.  Since 2007, he has served in the dual role of Legislative Coordinator for the Department.  Chief Tittle received his Bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University and a Master’s in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management from Sam Houston State University.Cain expressed his appreciation to Rockwall ISD for their event partnership.  “We are grateful to Superintendent Villarreal and the entire RISD leadership for partnering with Rest Haven...

Austin was an exceptional big brother. He loved his Xbox and sports; football, baseball, and basketball. He was full of energy and always had a smile on his face Austin was a very loving, kind, and goofy child. He was very friendly and enjoyed interacting with other people. Austin was the type to say 'hi' to anyone. He loved playing with his cousins and Uncle as well as visiting with his grandparents.
